Triple Chamber Food Production Facility In Manchester. Our client required a main coldroom for storing larger orders, a smaller coldroom for smaller foods and a holding freezer. Below are the room specifics:

Small coldroom: 3m x 5m x 2.4m
Small freezer : 3m x 5m x 2.4m
Job was complete from design to build in 5 weeks.
This year Glacier Coldrooms are exhibiting at the ACR Show on Stand D42, The exhibition will take place at NEC Birmingham on the 16th-18th February.
Glacier Coldrooms has been awarded a 42 chamber food production plant in Manchester. The production plant is 60m x 30m x 6m and consists of coldrooms, freezer rooms, blast chillers, blast freezers and ambient rooms. Approx build time = 2 months. Phase I and II images to follow.
Our client in the health care sector required a dual cold room to store pharmaceutical products at low and medium temperatures. One room was to be held at -30 degrees with the second room at +4 degrees.
Our client required the total external room size to be 5000mm x 5000mm x 2200mm and they requested for only one door outside the rooms due to restrictions outside. They also requested for a PVC finish as opposed to the standard foodsafe finished that we generally supply.
The obstacle that we faced was that there was a column running through the middle around which the rooms had to be built – but this was no problem.
Due to the low temperature of the room we supplied 150mm panel thickness for efficiency and reduced running costs along with a heated floor to prevent frost heave.
The project was completed within timescales and budget.
